The USA and Great Britain have the highest number of people wearing...of all things--shoes.
Interesting fact is that we also have the highest rate of foot problems in the world also.
I suppose that is a good thing if you are a podiatrist, orthopedic surgeon, back specialist, or shoe salesman.
You see, the feet are the first link in a bio mechanical chain that affects everything about our movement. Just like any machine, if the mechanics are ''out of whack'' long enough, there is bound to be problems elsewhere in the body.

I have been trying to where my shoes less this summer and believe me, I love how the ground feels under my feet when I go places without shoes. If you can get past the stigma of the need to wear shoes, then see how long you can go without wearing them.

I have linked to another article that is somewhat of a long read, but well worth the time. This article is what changed my thinking about shoes and how much I wear them.
